A firewall acts as a private network’s main protective barrier between itself and any outside public network such as the internet.  The firewall will allow certain wanted traffic into the network and deny access to unwanted, potentially harmful traffic (viruses, hackers) from getting in and causing problems. 

Have you been overwhelmed watching the news over the past two years? I know I have; however, every so often you stumble upon a headline that draws your attention. Today, that is exactly what happened to me!

As someone who likes to keep up with daily news, I have thought long and hard about the Newfoundland and Labrador hack. For those of you who are unaware of the circumstance, there was a cyberattack that hacked the N&L’s health system. Thousands of records of personal data is now out in the world for anyone to access. This the worst cyberattack that has ever occurred in Canadian history!

AOS insights on the modern forms of ransomware.

The AOS tech report is a monthly video blog about trends in the technology industry facilitated by AOS Representatives Matt Nash and Corey Green! This month Matt and Corey are joined by special guest Morgan Mattern, AOS’ newest Sales Representative. Morgan, who is going through her 3rd week of Xerox Product Training helps shine light on the newest Xerox Apps, installation techniques, and ways of creating a more socially distant work space!

As we approach nearly 12 months in this socially distanced world, filled with video conferencing and remote work environments, I find myself continually exploring new avenues to stay engaged with colleagues, clients and family. The photo and video powerhouse, Instagram is not new to us but, I have been exploring the benefits of engaging more with our following. With more than 1 billion active usershalf of which following businesses, I want to further leverage this platform as a way to stay in touch, provide support and share ideas with our network.
